An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Nuage Networks offers an instant-on, software-defined network and SD-WAN service for business clients and VARs large and small. With technology inherited from Alcatel/Lucent (now part of Nokia), Nuage has a natural entry point as the network software provider of choice for several regional or national Telco companies and CSPs (cloud service providers) as white-label resellers, as well as offering a portfolio of partner applications and virtual appliances to enterprises.
Hussein Khazaal, VP Marketing & Partnerships at Nuage Networks, says the key driver for their network adoption is their open, policy based delivery method, using x86 architecture as a baseline. “We support complete end-to-end software-defined networking across any environment, so any port, VM or container has secure policies that we can program, on any hardware or cloud, without proprietary standards.”
Major companies are now seeking to lift heavier workloads to modern microservices architectures (or MSA) through highly distributed virtualized software networks, with the flexibility to run on-demand in hybrid cloud environments.
Nuage Networks claims to overcome the scaling challenge of orchestrating massive quantities of Kubernetes pods alongside existing VMs and services, through a single control plane, with secure routing through the customer’s preferred security, analysis and performance monitoring solutions of choice.
