1E: Tachyon-beaming patches and jettisoning unused apps in endpoints

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

1E have developed a product called Tachyon that auto-magically beams down system updates and security patches, while killing prohibited files and processes on the endpoints of a high-volume distributed workforce or user base.

The company is now growing to help several large enterprises manage network-wide PC updates and configuration issues. Currently, a greatest hit they are playing is the required Windows 7 to Windows 10 migration by the year 2020.

1E can optimize usage profiles for enterprise platforms like ServiceNow as well as local software inventories to ensure that the costs of unused apps and service capacity are reduced.

They also have an alternate peer-to-peer content provider called Nomad that can help distribute package updates with minimal impact on network performance.

Together this suite can mitigate the risk and effort of updates and management of a portfolio of applications and resulting files and data, without compromising the privacy of the end user’s data, a must for compliance to standards such as GDPR, US Government ratings, banking PII and healthcare scenarios.
