LeanIX Update: Enterprise Architecture Adapts to a Cloud-First World

An Intellyx BrainCandy Update

Since we last spoke with LeanIX over two years ago, much has changed — and much has stayed the same. The fundamental challenges that enterprise architects (EAs) have always faced remain: the need to manage the enterprise’s portfolio of technology assets, the need to continually assess and manage risk, and the need to lay future-facing foundations for how the organization will function. But the last couple of years have brought cloud adoption into the day-to-day mainstream of enterprise existence and have actually increased the complexity for EAs as they face these traditional challenges.

LeanIX is evolving to help EAs — and business leaders from across the enterprise — grapple with this exponentially more complex world. On the one hand, it has continued to improve and extend its Enterprise Architecture Suite. In addition, however, it has introduced Cloud Intelligence and Microservices Intelligence (in early access) components (with others to come) to help EAs, CTOs, and cloud architects, among others, get a handle on the rapidly growing part of the enterprise technology stack that lives in the cloud. These elements exist within an integrated and unified platform that the company claims serves as a transformational and modernization engine for the enterprise.

The company believes that enterprises will see the real power of this integrated approach in their ability to get a full picture view of their entire technology stack from both a business and architectural perspective. In so doing, the company believes that it will be an essential enabler as organizations realize that they must continually adapt their enterprise technology stack to meet changing market demands, while still effectively managing and governing it.
