An Intellyx BrainCandy Brief
There are plenty of Kubernetes control plane, management, deployment and governance vendors jockeying for position to deliver their part of the cloud native platform engineering story, driven by renewed interest from all corners of the community.
Some offer a low-code-like view, where you can see a graph of API connections, others show timelines of automated deployment workflows, but you still need to bring-your-own YAML and Terraform and Dockerfiles. Interestingly, while the gopaddle platform lets engineers bring their own scripts if they want, their simple low-code wizard can generate configs and automate any-cloud deployments so that they may no longer want to.
Development teams who may be frustrated by the obstacles of procuring deployment environments and getting help managing Helm charts and IaC recipes from IT can use gopaddle as a self-service provisioning portal. IT executives who are strapped for the resources to start up a cloud native platform team to serve employees and delivery partners could also stand to benefit from ease of use and portability to hybrid cloud and edge infrastructures.
