Qumulo’s Azure Native Qumulo (ANQ) product extends their Scale Anywhere file management solution to provide cloud native capabilities.
Qumulo achieves ANQ’s performance and cost efficiency characteristics with a proprietary caching and abstraction layer to store and retrieve files using Azure blobs.
They are delivering the new cloud native capabilities in partnership with Microsoft, targeting file based AI/ML workloads.
Qumulo is also releasing a product called Global Namespace to simplify access to files in cloud, data center, and edge locations.
ANQ puts Qumulo into competition with other cloud based storage management systems. Qumulo positions ANQ as more cost effective and with a more flexible charging model for both baseline and burst consumption.
ANQ is part of Qumulo’s distributed file systems and object storage solutions designed to efficiently handle exabytes of unstructured data for media and entertainment, oil & gas, health care, and other data intensive enterprises.
