Amplifier Security: Turning up user security guidance to a comfortable volume

An Intellyx BrainCandy Brief

Amplifier Security seeks to improve company, team, and user-level security postures by stitching together activity data and providing analytics and instructions across a patchwork of existing security platforms.

The modern CISO inherits a plethora of security tools for UEBA, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, and so on, each of which generates a flood of alerts and metrics that are difficult to correlate to the individual actions of developers, operators, and individual business users within a matrixed organization.

Security context isn’t easy to come by, much less compliance, so in addition to a user security posture management dashboard, and automated remediation help, their “Ampy” AI assistant communicates with users directly to provide encouragement and even humor along the journey, empowering employees and their managers to respond to exposed vulnerabilities and perceived risky behaviors.

This well-heeled startup seems to have picked a focused AI approach and an underserved lane in an otherwise crowded vendor space, so we will certainly be watching where they go from here.
