Typically, we would recommend cleaning house with a Marie Kondo-like approach to logs and metrics—simplify, sample and retain the event data you really need and stratify historical data into cold storage—because cloud and platform ingress and storage costs can quickly get out of control if you hoard event data.
Axiom turns that frugal axiom on its head, claiming its own Kafka-less ability to radically compress incoming telemetry data emanating from a variety of infrastructure, application and network sources, and keeping it all in an active replay state for use in searches and queries that is apparently cheap enough to keep forever, if desired.
Customers can also request a virtual private cloud instance, and set retention and disposal policies on the data to meet sovereignty and compliance requirements.
