While some developer productivity tools are focused on outputs (lines of code written, pull requests, or number of builds per day) or outcomes (feature releases, monthly sales, NPS scores, or incident resolution times), DevZero stays closer to the flywheel, highlighting the many daily manual tasks, bottlenecks, and inconveniences that can add up over time and impact developer experience.
I’m always a sucker for industry metrics that I don’t have to measure, so I appreciated their just-released an Developer Experience Index (DXI) reporting which provides birds-eye analytics and detailed task-specific metrics for things such as build times and reboots. Metrics within these dashboards are based on their Open Development Analytics (ODA) specifications, allowing results, alerts and anomalies to be portable to other DevOps automation, observability, and service management resolution workflows.
