Adaptiva: Autonomous Endpoint Management with Vulnerability Remediation

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we last spoke with Adaptiva, they emphasized the sophisticated capabilities of their automated OneSite endpoint management platform for Windows devices, including efficient peer-to-peer patch distribution.

AdaptivaNow they also support Mac and Linux systems, and offer vulnerability detection and remediation. Their catalog of supported products now includes 26,000 products (up from 2,700), including all major variants of Linux.

OneSite can also roll back a patch or maintain an older version for compatibility. A “global pause” and “resume” button suspends and resumes patching should any problems occur, such as a network bandwidth limitation.

OneSite now integrates with Tenable (which also resells OneSite), Qualys, Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, and Sentinel One to pull in vulnerability data to trigger autonomous patching.

Autonomous patching can reduce the time window for cybercriminals to exploit vulnerabilities compared to manual patching processes.

As before, customers initially set the policies and controls that drive the automation, including compliance targets. An interactive dashboard monitors progress and restarts incomplete actions.

AI-powered asset discovery and visibility is in the works.
