An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Epicor optimizes the enterprise’s “make, move and sell” business functions flowing through its core ERP platform using an agentic AI fabric to provide targeted supply chain management, predictive analytics, and automation capabilities.
Using their ERP as a cognitive hub for training AI agents makes sense, as it contains current order signals and years of well-tagged order data, plus connections to millions of records of product and supplier data in catalogs and product information management systems from Epicor and other software providers.
A new low-code agent customization studio allows service and customer teams to “future proof” their operations with industry-specific functional agents as well as a suite of horizontal task agents that can be flexibly strung together into workflows. For instance, if an order comes in from a CRM, different agents can recognize products and configurations, check inventories, compare delivery options, create a quote, and format and send emails to suppliers and buyers.
Unlike well known GenAI solutions, each enterprise’s data estate is private and thus can form a highly relevant semantic training layer for bespoke agents without being used to train anyone else’s.
