An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
The founders of Vitria are no strangers to dealing with tough distributed computing challenges. They are among the founders of Tibco, and have a long history of developing enterprise messaging and integration solutions.
In 2019 they turned their attention to the challenges of highly distributed, enterprise-wide AIOps for automated incident detection and response, and developed the VIA AIOps platform, using a knowledge graph to improve the reliability of generative AI.
Through incremental deployments of 90-120 day sprints they help their customers build up to an more autonomous capability that detects and responds to network and data center incidents before customers notice.
Pinpointing the root cause is often difficult because an incident can occur in a data center, network device, or in the delivery network of a telecommunications or cable provider.
Their customers are predominantly in the telecom, streaming, and cable services industry sectors. Incidents in those sectors have direct customer impact, so the faster the detection and remediation the better.
VIA AIOps ingests data from multiple sources, including network devices and traditional observability tools, and derives its Structured Knowledge graph (e.g., knowledge graphs) of known, learned, and inferred results. The knowledge graph improves the accuracy and trustworthiness of AI results and enables increasing levels of autonomous operations, more accurately detecting an incident’s root cause and remediation steps.
The platform either recommends potential remediation steps or takes direct actionj. In autonomous mode, for example, an AI agent can automatically reboot a hung network router.
VIA AIOps is designed for massive scale, leveraging ML for data analytics and gen AI for root cause identification and remediation.
