An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
The last time we covered them, Nirmata announced an extended version of their Control Hub product, which is based on the Kyverno open-source policy-as-code engine.
At KubeCon last week, Nirmata announced their new agentic AI assistants for detecting and remediating policy violations.
As Kyverno gains popularity, Nirmata is working to provide incremental value for large enterprises. A large, complex IT environment it can make it challenging to manage policy.
Nirmata uses its new AI agents to enhance and augment policy as code definition and management, and positions their AI agents as platform engineering assistants for Kyverno that write, run, and validate policy-as-code across an IT infrastructure.
Developers use AI agents to chat with Kyverno and get information about their infrastructure, policies, and violations. Agents can also interact in natural language to define and deploy an organization’s policies.
When a policy violation occurs, a Nirmata agent issues a notification, and provides information about the violation, the proposed code fixes, and creates a PR for the fix.
