An Intellyx RSAC 2026 Brief

Cy4Data Labs encrypts and manages data access all the way down to single fields in a record, in order to ensure that sensitive data is never unencrypted or shared until it is actually needed to complete an approved objective or seen by an authorized human worker or customer.
“We need to have a one-to-one relationship between a piece of data, and what protects it. We can combine identity, the ability to access data, and behavioral context to make a decision in milliseconds as to whether or not someone can open up a piece of data based on their specific least-privilege access needs,” said Lance Smith, CEO of Cy4Data Labs on the raucous RSAC show floor.
Traditional security often sits at the boundary of an application or network, while the real treasure bad actors are seeking is in the data. Locking down data access at a coarse-grained volume or table level doesn’t provide enough flexibility to support modern service-based applications.

Their platform can look at the way an employee is using and asking for data access permissions, and block decryption at the last moment if it appears they are compromised or their credentials have been hijacked. Additionally, AI use cases now entering the mix with non-deterministic information-seeking agent sharing behaviors could also benefit.
