Atsign: Built In Security for Agentic Communication

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Network security is often an afterthought, especially when using AI generated code to develop applications and agents.

Atsign builds in network level security as you generate code, using an MCP server to access a security blueprint for your application or agentic network communication pattern.

The IT Architect part of the Atsign platform uses a drag and drop UI to create a network communication workflow diagram and assigns a cryptographic ID for each actor in the network (human, service, or agent). All communication is encrypted using ephemeral keys.

The IT Architect exports the workflow diagram into a blueprint, which is imported to an LLM using their MCP server. The MCP server uses the blueprint to instruct the LLM to generate security design.

The security design connects endpoints directly, eliminating the “secure directory server” vulnerability (and often bottleneck) and encrypts network traffic using ephemeral keys that protect against key theft.

Their two-step protocol initially connects endpoints indirectly, without exposing ports, preventing scanners and bots from discovering them.

The Atsign SDK is available independently of the blueprint for use outside of AI code generating tools.
