RYA: Brand-matched creative AI planning grounded in deep audience data

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

RYA generates brand communication plans and multi-channel creative marketing campaign treatments, based on agentic media research and grounded on a massive and detailed real audience dataset.

With a few prompts by a brand owner or creative director, their AI takes in a company’s brand profile and strategic goals and refines an ideal customer profile, looking for preferences and indicators of messages or events that are likely to encourage movement from recognition to action.

From there, it builds creative briefs, imagery, and marketing plans. Each approach is rated on their own “Radical Yet Acceptable” framework that balances how unique and memorable the concepts are, versus how likely they are to help drive business in a brand-safe way.

It all sounds kind of magical to have an AI generate such plans, but in the hands of a strategic team it can increase the velocity of planning cycles, as well as providing audience decision process analysis and detailed citations of real human audience data for each recommendation. This assists greatly in getting executive buy-in and engagement while the programs are executed. People with domain expertise, creative vision, and cultural awareness should bring their own vision and ideas to the exercise, and refine and harden approaches further in RYA’s workspace.

Hot take: We got a demo of RYA for our own Intellyx business and it accurately honed in on our enterprise software ideal customer profiles and generated several unique creative briefs with subjectively appealing visual treatments and campaign plans, including online and video elements as well as events and influencer communications.

Cold take: As a former producer in interactive marketing agencies in the past, it’s hard not to have an “oh shit” moment when you see a system generate several on-target creative themes backed up by empirical data in a minute or so, instead of having 1-4 weeks of design and review sessions with creatives and planners to decide what to pitch to a client. Any creative team should still bring their own ideas, vision, messaging, and execution expertise to the process and refine the best defensible approaches for their clients.
