An Intellyx Brief from Black Hat 2026
Helmet Security built an agent and AI discovery, assessment, management and policy platform that implements guardrails and enforces fine-grained blocking controls on agentic behaviors and connections according to a company’s security, compliance, and cost control targets.
Their solution usually sits alongside the enterprise’s security stack of MDR/network/identity platforms, but lately they are seeing more demand for deploying their management agents directly to endpoints, in order to bring desktop productivity agents and local coding agents on the developer’s laptops into the governance fold.

A verified registry of fully scanned agents outlines each discovered agent’s business functions, skills, human team owners, connections, current and past usage history. If an agent drifts from its original specifications or instructions, or if malicious prompt injections or data leakage occur, the platform can block connections in real time, and generate a full case export to SIEM or incident management platforms for remediation.
Hot Black Hat Take: “We built the Helmet platform to meet our customers where they are on the strictness scale. A bank or a healthcare company might want to just lock almost all data down except a few developer-owned agents at first. But for companies that keep it open for progress, they can discover agents and observe everything, with traceability in case something happens, and start with baseline guardrails that might block and redact only obvious private data sharing with an MCP server,” said Fred Kneip, co-founder & CEO, Helmet Security.
