When we last spoke with Acronis in July, 2019, we highlighted their journey from a PC backup and recovery product company to a supplier of enterprise security solutions.
They continue to build out and enhance their integrated suite of tools, leveraging their original backup capabilities to restore systems to pre-incident status. This capability is built into their detection response, malware and ransomware protection, and forensic investigation support.
Acronis also offers discovery services for endpoint protection and provisions agents for automating patch deployment.
They provide vulnerability assessments and DLP, detect malware and ransomware, analyze and interpret attacks, contain threats, and provide one-click recovery.
They manage 52 of their own data centers globally for fast backup and recovery, adding ML to improve efficiency.
Acronis detects unprotected files during backup. They also offer a blockchain based notarization system to guard against digital assets getting into the wrong hands.
The Acronis tools can be used in combination or individually.
