The Xshield platform deploys agents at network endpoints, and operates using a policy engine within a SaaS based control plane
Xshield agents implement the policy decisions and manage the network segmentation policy enforcement points. Agents can be host based, deployed in Kubernetes clusters, or in service mesh sidecars.
Xshield also provides agent gateways for IoT device networks and legacy platforms, works with cloud based and data center based networks, and segments containerized microservices.
The Xshield dashboard displays a color-coded network diagram to illustrate the segmentation topology. Xshield provides templates for segmenting the endpoints and custom tags for defining segment relationships and segmentation policies.
