An Intellyx Brain Candy Update from KubeCon 2025
Even though we last covered Dynatrace in April 2025, we revisited their booth at KubeCon NA 2025 to get the cool socks, and to see their latest automatically-discovered observability and real-time application monitoring platform that now tracks AI and agent usage.
Their dedicated Grail data lake allows direct AI querying with natural language prompts from anywhere within their application suite. OpenTelemetry support comes standard, as the firm contributes to the project.
New in-cluster telemetry forwarding agents and a dedicated log management module bring telemetry data with rich contextual data to a causal AI, which can match observability data to specific events and issues within Kubernetes namespaces, pods, and nodes, and allow users to jump directly into a single workload and investigate all of its API connections.
“AI and agents are being merged into just about every workload today. So we recently came out with a full stack of AI observability tools, which are fully integrated to some of the most modern AI platforms,” said Austin Sabel, Principal Solutions Architect, Dynatrace. “Whether it’s AWS Bedrock or Azure AI or Gemini, we can track tokens and errors and prompt usage, so that you can actually understand how people are using your AI models and how they’re performing over time, as well as watching cost and security issues.”
