Skene: Helping Vibe Coders Achieve Product Led Growth

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Skene reads from a vibe coding repository to understand the generated code for the purpose of adding product led growth (PLG) capabilities to a SaaS application.

Their MCP server integrates with generative coding IDEs to incorporate relevant open source and community developed PLG libraries.

Skene extracts product signals from the SaaS product source code, APIs, configurations, and documentation, and generates user onboarding flows based on product structure.

Skene’s code libraries also measure time to value and onboarding drop off times and tracks user activation completion rates. When application code is updated, the PLG capabilities also automatically updates.

Consistent with the vibe coding approach, prompts that recreate an entire application will also pick up the Skene capabilities at the same time and include them again.

Skene also provides state machine guardrails to validate generative AI output, checking the state of each transition to ensure a match before proceeding to the next state.

SaaS application vibe coders are often more concerned with correctly generating technical and application functionality than with the capabilities required for successful PLG based marketing and sales, which is where Skene comes in.

Skene leads a community working group for PLG builders that develops and publishes the artifacts behind the product, including: code, manifests, experiments, and event patterns.

Skene offers a free license for its open core functionality and a monthly subscription for advanced features.
