Bedrock Data’s security and governance platform builds a view of how AI systems interact with enterprise data, infrastructure and permissions, contextualizing metadata about the provenance and ownership state of each item, in order to help engineers and security teams identify, report and remediate sensitive data exposure risks and compliance issues across enterprise data and AI environments.
It was already hard enough to manage a data security posture across multiple distributed applications, hybrid cloud data warehouses, identity providers and file systems in our last year’s coverage of the startup. Oh, how much things have changed within a year.
Once enterprises add AI training, agent-to-service MCP servers and agent-to-agent workflows into the data creation and consumption mix, developers and operators cannot predict or address the non-deterministic data usage and threat vectors that will emerge.
Today, Bedrock Data released their latest ArgusAI edition which automates the discovery of what the company describes as the enterprise AI risk surface, including MCP servers, agent access paths and entitlements, correlating those with the sensitive data that agents can retrieve or act upon.
Also new, the platform’s Snowflake data security posture management gives Snowflake’s Cortex Search services a data risk source of truth – for instance, flagging any sensitive datasets indexed for AI retrieval, finding ‘shadow’ MCP server implementations, and discovering customer PII that is accessible for RAG pipelines.
