Over just the last couple years, we’ve seen popular agentic coding consoles like Claude Code, Cursor and Codex quickly move from spot experimentation to generating a majority of new code in many large enterprises. Enthusiastic leading-edge companies expected developers to gain 10x productivity by simply becoming a “human in the loop” for code reviews.
Since agents that code faster can also make mistakes faster, no human engineer has the time, much less the sustained interest level, to keep up with so many AI-generated changes, Code review has become the new bottleneck for software productivity.
Baz review agents operate in an agentic SDLC loop, starting by aligning coding agents to the enterprise’s current plan and architecture, then reviewing each change, merge, and production deployment for accuracy, scalability and security, then providing findings, tests, and proof to human teams when further intervention is needed. The big idea here is to replace human review time with human oversight at only the most critical junctures, in order to eliminate costly post-review correction rework.
Intellyx hot take: All software development still starts with requirements, but once software is in production and agents get involved in continuous delivery, there’s no longer a set destination. Agentic review-driven-development might keep successive iterations on the right trajectory.
