Agentic AI
Agentic AI refers to AI systems that are designed to pursue goals and complete tasks on behalf of users, exhibiting reasoning, planning, memory, and a level of autonomy to make decisions, learn, and adapt. These systems can converse, reason, and coordinate with other agents to perform complex workflows. While many AI agents are currently available, not all meet the comprehensive definition of agentic AI, and their capabilities can vary significantly based on their maturity. As agentic AI technology matures, we can expect the development of general purpose agents that can adapt to dynamic situations, continually learn, and interact with diverse data sources to accomplish user-defined tasks.
