Of the various alternative terms, ‘Internet of Things’, ‘Web of Things’, ‘Industrial Internet’, ‘Internet of Everything’…which is the one you believe most relevantly/usefully describes the trajectory of the intersection between ‘things’ and the future? Or do you have another term altogether that you prefer?
Jason Bloomberg:
Much like “Cloud,” “Internet of Things” covers many different markets and technologies that serve different purposes, lumped together under a single catchy marketing term – for better or worse. Having a single catchy term is great for people who have the chutzpah to run IoT conferences (not that I know any of those!) but soon confuses people when they are trying to understand the specifics. On the other hand, no one alternative term would solve this problem.
