Jason Bloomberg writes or more appropriately quotes a few architects on Forbes on the role of EA in “Is Enterprise Architecture Completely Broken?“.
Jason is right in saying that EA has achieved “paltry” degrees of success. But not for the resons stated.
“Digital transformation is a fantastic way to rethink Enterprise Architecture,… as Angelo Andreetto reports”, is not the solution to the EA paltry results though. Rethinking the term, even if it sounds convenient, means changing the definition of such an established term as architecture to “transformation” only because a few think that this is a fantastic way to interpret it. This rethink may introduce major confusion to the discipline.
