LAS VEGAS, DECEMBER 29, 2014 – Jason Bloomberg, president of digital transformation analysis firm Intellyx, will be attending the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas next week.
“My focus at Intellyx is on large enterprises, so attending a consumer technology-oriented conference is new for me,” Bloomberg said. “However, the consumer Internet of Things (IoT) is among today’s most exciting areas of innovation. I will be looking for stories of how this innovation promises to transform enterprise business models.”
Mr. Bloomberg will be covering CES for Forbes, where he is a contributor. He will be attending from Sunday January 4th through Wednesday January 7th, and is actively looking for vendors to conduct analyst briefings.
“The consumerization of technology in today’s enterprises expands the relevance of the consumer IoT to large organizations,” Bloomberg explained. “I’m looking to identify exceptionally innovative offerings that promise to impact how large organizations do business – either via their customer offerings, or how they operate generally.”
Intellyx has no geographic or industry specialization, so innovations for any type of company are welcome. Truly disruptive innovations, however, are favored over incremental improvements.
“Home automation and fitness wearables are now very crowded consumer IoT markets, so a product would really have to stand out in those segments to catch my attention,” Bloomberg continued. “I’m particularly interested in IoT innovations that are opening up entirely new market segments.”
Mr. Bloomberg is attending as a member of the press, so exhibitors and other sponsors are invited to set up briefings with him on Sunday and Monday, which are press days. Bloomberg is also available Tuesday and Wednesday for meetings with any innovative IoT vendor, even if they aren’t sponsoring the event.
