DataGravity monitors data usage patterns in real-time across the organization, giving admins the ability to detect, for example, ‘data trespassing,’ a term DataGravity uses to describe when employees are illicitly storing personal files or other data on corporate systems.
This real-time monitoring can also detect the early stages of a ransomware attack in progress, at the time the malware maliciously encrypts files on various systems.
As a result, companies can rapidly isolate affected computers and identify impacted files, allowing for targeted restores from backups that avoid the loss of work in progress.
