Applitools supports testing of responsive Web apps by detecting visual differences between the appearance of a page as compared to a baseline. Such differences are in static elements like text and images, and can be as minor as a single character of text out of place.
Testers may create multiple baselines of a page, and can indicate where on a page dynamic content will appear in order to exclude it from being flagged.
Applitools is especially useful for testing the appearance of responsive pages, as responsive frameworks don’t always work as they should.
Applitools works in conjunction with functional test automation products like Selenium, and integrates with popular tools on the DevOps toolchain.
