An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Three developing trends are reshaping the nature of analytics. First, enterprises are collecting and using more data than ever before, resulting in increased data complexity. Second, organizations now need to find insights in and take action from that data to remain competitive and create value opportunities. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, everything is now moving too fast for business users to wait for IT to give them access to the data they need to find insights and take action.
ClearStory provides what it calls a continuous intelligence platform that it claims will help business users solve all three of these challenges. The company’s platform uses machine learning and other forms of AI to intelligently ingest, analyze, and profile data sets. It then maps relationships between the data sets, what it calls harmonizing the data, to enable non-technical users to make sense of the increasingly complex data landscape in their search for insights.
Finally, the platform enables business users to create what it calls storyboards to mash-up, visualize, and analyze data from a business perspective, regardless of the data source. While organizations can deploy the solution on-premises, in a private or public cloud, or on the company’s cloud-based platform, the business users interact with it using what the company calls a business simple browser-based experience. The company’s overarching goal is to help business users bring together the data they need, when they need it, so that they can get answers and make the decisions that will make a difference for their organization.
