When was the term keyed?
It is hard to know for sure. Up until 2015 all we were talking about was around the word “information” and “information revolution”. “Digital transformation” didn’t mean much to anyone as rightly stated by Jason Bloomberg in his article Digital Transformation by Any Other Name?.
Early 2015 seem to be the pivotal point of those terms usage, and in early 2017 “Digital transformation” gained so much in popularity (see Google trend graph below) that it surpassed the other one and is now part of our daily vocabulary.
