DH2i: A software-defined microperimeter for securing network communication

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

DH2i - Intellyx brain candyDH2i is seeking to drastically reduce the attack surface of enterprise networks by applying a thin but secure perimeter around all trusted systems and users, which also cloaks all gateways and network data transfers from unknown usage.

“Enterprise VPNs and firewalls aren’t going away any time soon, but companies need a better way to give the right people secure and fast access to services,” says DH2i founder and CEO Don Boxley. “Unlike other systems we aren’t segmenting the network. We are allowing admins and applications to extend a shared microperimeter around on-premise and hybrid cloud systems.”

One of their DxOdyssey solution’s advantages comes from replacing standard TCP protocols with the speedier (but less stable) UDP, along with a proprietary way to sequence and restructure data moving through these UDP microtunnels so the proper state and performance of workloads on the network is maintained.
