HiveIO: Bringing public cloud scale into private software-defined datacenters

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

HiveIO is finding a successful niche delivering cutting-edge hyperconverged infrastructure in a software-defined private cloud form factor, without the initial technical or complex cost calculation hurdles.

Companies and institutions often start out by rapidly provisioning and scaling VDI installations for distributed workforces and training workflows on the Hive Fabric layer, which can spin up a virtual datacenter on commodity or bare metal servers. Existing images and data can be automatically converted to Hive’s locally optimized KVM images with messaging, connectivity and AI package support.

The company’s recent Hive Fabric 7.2 release focused on a simplified user experience, boiling down most of the virtual datacenter monitoring and management tasks to two largely graphical console screen views.
