Kemp: Easing the Experience of Delivering Apps in Hybrid IT Environments

Deliver any app, from any data center or cloud service provider, and a key component that will often dictate its secure availability for end users is the load balancer. The recently rebranded Kemp has been in this game since building such delivery controllers for hardware in the early 2000s, but their technology has evolved through virtual appliance, cloud and hybrid IT iterations to today.

The company’s new ‘Always-On App Experience’ mantra signifies an enhanced ability for their LoadMaster software suite, and related security and availability monitoring tools to be offered in a per-app pricing model built for easier delivery of apps in a cloud-native future, while still supporting on premise systems.

Kemp seems to be a part of many thousands of app delivery and site deployments for all walks of companies, but is not a household name as much of that customer base leverages their solutions virtually, through a network of technology platform, SI and cloud services partners.

The solution has an overall application management view, which can call on Kemp software and other performance and firewall components. Kemp can be delivered as service-based fabric, packaged in container deployments or VMs, or even delivered to the data center in a hardware form factor, depending on the location and compliance needs of the enterprise. To us the deployment flexibility for apps to run workloads wherever needed without proprietary concerns is a pillar of the Hybrid IT environment approach.
