If there is one thing that’s clear it’s that the depth and breadth of what organizations must put together and make work is getting more complex. Open-source provider, Cloudify, aims to help organizations solve this problem. The company’s orchestration platform enables telcos and enterprise organizations to orchestrate and manage complex network environments from the data center to the edge. Application-focused and intent-based, the platform allows operators to define their intended outcomes and then handles the rest.
The end-to-end platform enables users to design, provision, configure, and apply automations across their network, including at the edge. This edge focus is a more recent development for the company, and it claims that it represents a breakthrough in dealing with the complexity and scale that the edge brings — particularly with the large number of distributed locations that most organizations must manage. According to the company, it is its multi-domain capabilities and its ability to perform orchestration at multiple layers that sets it apart.
