BlueFinity seeks to resolve a shortage of development and DBA resources for companies seeking to modernize their existing investments in multi-value and SQL databases.
Their Evoke low-code platform reads the columns and tables of these databases, mapping all of the exits into a structured object format, which citizen developers can readily use in IDEs like Visual Studio and Xamarin to modify generated application code and resulting UI screens (or ‘pages’) before deploying them as web, desktop and device-native apps.
Many other low-code tools we cover tend to obfuscate most of the back-end database connections and code in favor of a glossier user-experience oriented view, whereas companies with specialized industry databases likely have moderately-skilled (and up) people who have already been wrestling with maintenance and technical debt issues for months.
The instrumentation view and price point of BlueFinity’s solution seems well-suited to companies and integration services partners encountering difficulties in SaaS or cloud-enabling legacy and existing data sources for consumer scale.
