Pulumi: Orchestrating IaC deployment powers in any cloud

Pulumi provides an open source provisioning platform and a managed team service for orchestrating policy-based infrastructure-as-code deployments.

Billing themselves as “superpowers for cloud” their platform allows developers to specify infrastructure in whatever languages they naturally use, including JavaScript, Python, Go, C# and TypeScript. Pulumi’s engine manages and orchestrates build-outs on any cloud IaaS (AWS, Google, Azure, many others), Kubernetes cluster, or on-premises hardware in a declarative manner similar to aspect-oriented development.

These IaC stacks can be merged into CI/CD pipelines and configuration management recipes, but the real power seems to reside in the cross-organizational capability of sharing architectural patterns across multiple DevOps teams, and exerting fine-grained policy control over exactly how and where they are deployed, according to cost, performance and security priorities.
