VANTIQ: Real-Time Event Mesh Platform for Edge Computing Applications

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we covered VANTIQ in 2017 and 2018, the company was still in the process of finding its footing in the marketplace.

Today, VANTIQ has arrived. Its distributed event-driven broker – aka an event mesh – is a scalable real-time platform that supports a range of edge computing applications, with a particular sweet spot for the Internet of Things (IoT).

The company’s partners and customers have built many different types of data-intensive, real-time applications on the VANTIQ platform, including smart manufacturing, fleet management, environmental monitoring, and more.

Recently, however, VANTIQ has seen particular interest in applications focused on interiors of buildings, including pandemic-specific use cases like human temperature monitoring, safe distance detection, and contact tracing.

The VANTIQ platform is particularly well-suited to support AI-centric applications that must process large quantities of data on the edge in real-time. The company is also well-positioned to support future AI-based applications as they reach the market.
