An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Hyland is already well-known for records and process management software among teams that deliver IT services for government orgs, financial and healthcare companies, but the firm also has an interesting low-code platform play. [Intellyx’s Jason Bloomberg recently covered Hyland in his byline about digital transformation and the post-Covid19 PPP loan program in SiliconANGLE.]
World events like the immediate work-from-home requirement are forcing major enterprises to deliver new application functionality to employees and customers in weeks, rather than years. They are held back by the labor of manual data import and correlation, and the inertia of monolithic application silos and disjointed third-party information services.
The rest of the IT world may not know the product breadth of Hyland outside of its leadership in the content services space. Consolidating a portfolio of capabilities of more than a dozen competing and adjacent vendors, the firm is ingesting end-to-end business processes (DPA) and data with RPA-style automation capabilities, allowing business users to stitch together purpose-built apps in a low-code environment, while integrating to existing data and document silos.
There’s even some Al (or ‘applied intelligence’) going on here, with specialized analytics, recognition and interpretation competencies to automate specific customer processes, such as student admissions, insurance claims, medical case management, or loan applications.
