An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Opsera is seeking to smooth out software delivery pipelines at a meta-level, by offering a no-code ability to declaratively ingest and string together best of breed CI/CD toolchains, automating and monitoring their execution according to templates that are fit for specific business purposes.
The proliferation of so many repositories, registries, configurators, test frameworks, security tools, deployment options and “DevOps solutions” creates a conundrum for most decent-sized enterprises. How does an extended enterprise get their arms around the preferences and needs of all the constituents, so they can work together to deliver software against measurable objectives?
Rather than take an ‘end-to-end environment’ approach to automation, Opsera loosely couples workflows from many of the code-build-scan-integrate-test-deploy-authorization tools the extended team may already use, with shared change control and approvals in a secure team work area. Pre-baked pipeline templates are offered for IT objectives like Kubernetes delivery, AI/machine learning workloads, Salesforce integration or ServiceNow interactions, and users can then customize the order of steps, branches and nesting in a workflow view.
Managers gain a unique analytics capability from this declarative approach, as you can also monitor software delivery progress and success metrics at a business objective meta-level.
