Sysdig: Adding Cloud-Native Zero-Trust Security to Secure DevOps

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we last covered Sysdig in May 2020, the vendor was focused on the overlap of security and performance for devops in cloud-native environments.

Today, the creators of the popular open source Falco threat detection engine and the open source Wireshark network protocol analyzer is upping its game to add cloud-native zero-trust network security to its arsenal.

Zero-trust refers to a least privilege approach to security that assumes all actors are malicious until proven otherwise. Cloud-native zero-trust extends this principle to all types of abstracted endpoints, which might represent users, microservices, serverless functions, or any other network endpoint.

Sysdig’s expertise at the network layer comes through in its ability to provide system call-level visibility and cloud-native microsegmentation that bring cloud-native zero-trust to Kubernetes.
