Kaloom: Cloud-Native Edge Networking for Telcos and Enterprises

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since we last covered Kaloom in March 2020, the vendor has expanded its cloud-native edge networking offering to an increasing number of enterprise use cases.

Kaloom offers a ‘Cloud Edge Fabric’ that abstracts different networking implementations across on-premises, edge, and public cloud, giving customers a programmable unified edge management plane.

Not only is Kaloom well-positioned to enable telcos and telco service providers to build out their 5G-based enterprise solutions, it is also increasingly focused on enterprise use cases directly.

These use cases include central office, distributed central office, and branch office, as well as new edge scenarios including Central Office Rearchitected as a Data Center (CORD), which is a programmable platform for network edge data centers.
