An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Enterprise organizations continue to struggle to close the so-called automation gap, as the demand for new automation exceeds the capacity of most enterprise IT organizations. To close this gap, organizations have turned to both no-code and low-code application development platforms. While business users have typically used no-code to solve simpler automation use cases, low-code platforms have been deployed within IT to speed development. According to Appify, however, neither has wholly filled this gap.
The company sees most traditional no-code solutions as too simple, and traditional low-code solutions as still too slow. More importantly, according to the company, neither solves the most significant challenge causing the automation gap: enabling business users and IT to work together as a cohesive team. The company’s approach is to deliver what it calls “enterprise no-code that IT will love.” Its objective is to enable business and IT users to collaborate to build enterprise-grade apps that connect multiple data sources in a secure and scalable fashion.
According to the company, the critical benchmark is the ability to deliver these secure and scalable applications quickly — in days or weeks, rather than in months or years. The company also has an interesting approach to licensing that enables organizations to use its platform across internal, partner-facing, and customer-facing use cases.
