UltimateSuite is a leader in the relatively nascent task mining category, helping to differentiate the offering from its cousin, process mining.
Process mining collects various data sets from technology participants in business processes and enriches them in order to extract useful insights from this ‘data exhaust’ – in other words, data that processes generate for reasons other than deriving insights from them.
With UltimateSuite, task mining is a more intentional approach to collecting, enriching, and analyzing data about individual tasks of an organization, thus providing insights into workers’ day-to-day activities.
There are three primary benefits of task mining:
- Performance improvement – monitoring key performance indicators for the business at a granular level
- Continuous improvement – making recommendations for achieving the customer-facing goals of digital transformation
- Robotic process mining – identifying problems with RPA bots and potential opportunities for improvement.
At this time, UltimateSuite only supports Windows desktops but can mine tasks within virtual desktops, Citrix windows, and terminal sessions, as well as traditional Windows applications.
