LogRhythm: New Management Team, Product Strategy for Established SIEM Vendor

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

LogRhythm is an established Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) vendor which also offers User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities.

One of LogRhythm’s most important differentiators is its ‘schema on write’ capability which formats mixed data sources at ingestion in real-time for immediate processing.

In February 2022, the company hired veteran software executive Chris O’Malley as CEO. O’Malley brought in members of his management team from Compuware, a mainframe tooling company he headed from 2014 until its sale to BMC in 2021.

O’Malley quickly focused his team on improving LogRhythm’s competitiveness using techniques he had honed at Compuware. In particular, LogRhythm has heightened its engagement with customers while moving its product release cycle to a quarterly cadence.

Coming up in the next release: a freshly rearchitected cloud native platform that will bring improved scalability, risk mitigation, and hybrid IT support to both new and existing customers.
