Shortcut: Dev project teams enjoy documented context

Shortcut Intellyx BC LogoAn Intellyx BrainCandy Update

Shortcut is evolving their agile project management cloud platform in a space dominated by two or three gorilla-sized vendors by leaning hard on ease-of-use and a new collaborative documentation capability which has proven especially popular with startups and mid-size enterprise development shops.

Since our previous coverage in 2021 and 2019 (when they were still called “Clubhouse” before the social chat app of the same name became popular), Shortcut has introduced an automatic wiki and documentation function called Write that provides a shared story surface for collaboration atop the features, post-mortems, epics and tasks of its stylish, low-cost Jira alternative.

There’s other shared docs and wiki-type apps out there that established companies might decide to keep, but as it turns out, progressively minded developers, testers and business managers prefer to have the official record right next to their project activity, with links to events, data and messages. Go figure!
