VictoriaMetrics was at KubeCon NA 2022 demonstrating an open source time-series observability database optimized to meet the demands of fast-scaling Kubernetes application environments at low cost, with a managed service option for supporting customers.
Cloud native applications and API services are trending toward generating a deluge of monitoring data, especially in growing companies. Prometheus and Grafana provide useful alerts and metrics, but add in multiple chatty clusters, and the cost and complexity of storing and correlating so much telemetry data can outstrip the DevSecOps team’s ability to leverage it.
VictoriaMetrics offers a free open edition with almost all of the single server and cluster product features of the Enterprise edition, save for the firm’s expert services help and some recurring platform features like data downsampling, backups and multi-tenancy controls for alerting and authorization.
