The AWS Mainframe Modernization offering from Amazon Web Services helps mainframe customers complement their mainframe capabilities with AWS cloud services.
The offering consists of a set of managed tools providing both infrastructure and software for migrating, modernizing, and running mainframe applications.
When customers want to migrate workloads off the mainframe, AWS helps them recompile and run those workloads in the cloud.
Other customers would rather connect mainframe and cloud capabilities in some hybrid arrangement, perhaps leveraging mainframe data from cloud services, or in other cases, running mainframe workloads that access cloud-based data and data services.
AWS Mainframe Modernization thus helps mainframe customers replatform or refactor mainframe applications, augment data infrastructure, or any combination based upon their needs.
