Zoho Workplace: A center of gravity for enterprises

An Intellyx BrainCandy Update

We’ve been covering Zoho for several years now, and since our last update with them in 2021, they have pressed hard on improving the interoperability of their many tools under the Zoho One banner to release Zoho Workplace for Enterprise.

From the customizable Zoho Workplace dashboard, a business user can see all the current work they are doing, and jump between apps to advance workflows without switching apps. Fortunately, there’s a lot more going on here than another single-pane-of-glass.

They called this release “Trident” as it brings together the three prongs of communication, productivity and business apps. In practice, you can see how an email offers an almost instant ability to set an appointment with relevant people, or make an instant video call or chat with contextual file sharing, or even kick off automated workflows custom-designed in Zoho Creator, or create an invoice in Pay, or check on that customer’s contract or project status… and so on.

That’s all pretty slick, but there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes in terms of data synchronization, security and authorization controls to make all of this work, and integration with a variety of other productivity suites like MS Office or Google Workspaces and other collaboration and planning tools so companies can keep what already works while advancing customer communications and outcomes.
