When we last covered Traefik in July 2021, it offered an open-source, cloud native reverse proxy and service mesh, along with an enterprise version that included API management, advanced security, and other commercial features.
Now Traefik is releasing a cloud native control plane that provides more advanced API management capabilities, including full-lifecycle operationalization of APIs as well as features for productizing APIs.
Traefik has also recently added OpenID Connect (OIDC) capabilities and the ability to load sensitive data from Kubernetes secrets to store authentication sources credentials.
