Imply: New Schema Auto Discovery Feature

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since their last briefing with us about a year ago, Imply has delivered a powerful new capability to automatically generate schemas by scanning input messages.

This quickly prepares unstructured and semi-structured data for real time SQL queries against the Druid storage engine.

Imply engineers and supports enterprise product distributions of Apache Druid, the open source software (OSS) storage engine for real-time analytics.

implyThe enterprise products include a cloud hosted database as a service (DBaaS) product called Polaris, an enterprise data center version of Druid, and a hybrid of the two.

Use cases for Druid include real time decision making systems that analyze streams of transactional data, application monitoring data, and IoT telemetry.

Additional enterprise features include improved security, integration with enterprise logging and monitoring tools, and enhanced visualization.

In contrast to a data warehouse, Druid ingests data rapidly and makes it available almost instantly by time slicing its distributed segments and allowing instant query access to the data.

Imply’s enterprise support services help organizations obtain the skill sets needed to get the most out of a complex product such as Druid.

Imply staff contribute actively to the Apache Druid project. Imply certifies a commercial distribution of Druid, not a fork of the project.
